Once Anansi the spider wondered what the world was made up of?

“Water water everywhere and all the boards did sink, water water everywhere and not a drop to drink,” cried the Albatross.

So, Anansi thought, “the world was made of water.” The Sky God Nyame disagreed. He said, “The world is made up of stories.” But Anansi was not satisfied with this answer. He asked a chemist. And the chemist said, “The world is made of atoms and all elements are made of atoms.” This answer Anansi did not disagree with.
