Why does the frog croak?

School Story Curriculum

Concept: First step on moon

A frog was watching itself in a pool of water. In this pool it could see a reflection of the moon. It leapt on to the pool and spoke in great delight, “I have stepped on the moon.” Indeed, it was a matter of great delight to even step on a reflection of the moon. But the curious frog who had jumped on the reflection of the moon wanted to know if he could actually jump on top of the real moon.

To do this, he wanted to know who had jumped on top of the real moon. The frog asked a passing bird if it knew if who of the humans, for the humans were a curious species was known to him, had first stepped on the moon.

And the bird asked another bird who asked a butterfly, who asked a fish who gave the answer as Neil Armstrong. The frog asked again, “how did this curious Neil Armstrong land on the moon?”

The bird asked another bird who asked the butterfly, who asked a fish who gave the answer, “He reached the moon through a rocket. Curious humans had built rockets push upward with powerful force.”

“Coolest,” said the frog and got up all set to build a rocket. And when you hear the frog croaking, he is only asking the bird for information on how humans built the rocket.
